Where Wonder Lives and Illusion Thrives

At the House of Magic, we do more than perform tricks. We preserve the history, mystery, and heart of magic. Our stage brings together classic artistry, modern theater, and a deep love for the craft so every guest leaves amazed and smiling.

Our Story and Purpose

House of Magic PA was born from a simple idea. Give people a place where they can feel real wonder again. Our home is a nearly 100 year old bank building in Glenside, Pennsylvania. Today it is a living tribute to magic with a theater, a museum, a library, and a private vault experience. Every detail was chosen to honor the past and thrill the present.

The Vault of Secrets

The Vault of Secrets is your doorway to hidden magic. The original bank vault holds thousands of safe deposit boxes. During close up shows, the audience generates a number. One guest enters the vault and retrieves a box with a mystery effect inside. The magician must then perform that exact piece of magic live.

No two shows are the same. The vault connects you to the building, to the history of magic, and to the thrill of being part of the show.

The Founder: Marc DeSouza

This creator and owner has established the House of Magic as a tribute to our amazing Art. He has been seriously involved in magic since the age of six.

As a competitor, he amassed over 75 regional, national and international awards including three silver medals from the Society of American Magicians, first place awards in both stage and close-up magic from both the SAM and the International Brotherhood of Magicians and represented the US in World Competition at the FISM Convention (the Olympics of Magic) three times. As a performer and lecturer, he has appeared throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

Marc has created magic that has been used by magicians all over the world. These works have appeared in print, on video and in marketed effects.

He has appeared twice on Penn and Teller Fool Us. He still performs his own magic frequently, but he also teaches, coaches and mentors other performers to help them create their own magic and routines.

And on top of that all, he runs a 60 year old Real Estate Development firm. He has combined all of that experience and a lifelong passion to create what we believe is the premier venue for the performance and preservation of the Art of Magic.
